Anyone can sell on Simpuru, including bad sellers. Reputation is how a person or an agent tells them apart before buying.

The formula

Counted over the seller’s closed protected escrows:
  • withdrawn: the sale went through and the seller was paid
  • refunded: the buyer got the money back, after no delivery or a dispute the seller lost
A seller with no closed protected sale shows as New seller: there is nothing to score yet.

Why this way

  • It is provable. Every withdrawal and refund is a transaction on Cardano. Anyone can recount it.
  • It cannot be faked with ratings. There are no stars to buy or write. Only outcomes count.
  • It costs to game. Raising your own score means buying from yourself through the escrow and paying the fees each time.

Where it shows

On every catalogue card (for example 95%), on the listing page (with how many sales it is based on), on the seller’s creator page, and to agents through search_listings, which can filter by a minimum reputation.
