A protected quote carries four times. The x402 issuer requires the submit deadline to be at least 15 minutes after the quote, so these are the earliest it allows.

What it looks like

  • Honest seller: result posted about a minute after payment, seller collects at ~31 min.
  • No delivery: nothing posted, the watcher refunds the buyer at ~16 min.
  • Wrong file: result posted, the watcher disputes before ~31 min, the arbiter pays out at ~46 min.
