# Why Simpuru

> Good prompts are worth paying for. Buying them should be simple and safe.

## Paying for one prompt shouldn't need a subscription

Good design prompts save hours: paste one into a coding agent and you get a finished landing page instead of a blank file. But today they are usually sold as monthly plans or big packs, when most people only need the one prompt for the page they are building right now.

On Simpuru you **pay per prompt**. You watch a recording of what it builds, pay a few tADA, and you get that prompt. Buy it once and it stays yours.

## Buying from someone you don't know

Anyone can sell on Simpuru, so most sellers are strangers. Paying a stranger for something you can't see until after you pay is a risk: the prompt might never arrive, or it might not be the one in the listing.

So every listing can be bought **with protection**:

* The seller commits to exactly which prompt they sell before anyone pays. See [Content commitment](/learn/content-commitment).
* Your money waits in an escrow on Cardano, not in the seller's wallet. See [The escrow](/learn/the-escrow).
* If the prompt doesn't arrive in time, you're refunded automatically. If it's the wrong one, an arbiter checks the evidence and pays you back. See [Protection watcher](/learn/protection-watcher) and [Disputes and the arbiter](/learn/disputes-and-the-arbiter).

Sellers get something too: each settled sale builds a public [reputation](/learn/reputation) that buyers can see.

## Your agent can shop too

You can let Claude or Cursor buy prompts for you. Your agent finds a prompt, pays from your Simpuru wallet within the limits you set, and gets the same protection you do. Nobody has to watch it: if a delivery fails, the refund happens on its own. See [Connect an agent](/guides/connect-an-agent).
